Features:

  1. Completely and safely isiolates the production wellhead valves and flow tee from the stimulation pressure, fluid, and proppant.
  2. Securely installs on top of the flow tee with a threaded connection** or flanged connection with premium Gratloc couplings.
  3. Safely injects and removes the mandrel and sealing assembly under wellhead pressure by hydraulic means.
  4. Eliminates the need for killing the well, running a plug, or using a frachead.
  5. Double master valves with full sour trim and a remote valve control.
  6. Average installation and removal time of 45 minutes each.
  7. Adaptable to all API wellheads, tubing types and sizes (uncommon sizes and configurations are available upon request)
  8. Capable of flowback off the flowblock located between the hydraulic and manually controlled valves. Stinger trucks carry 103.5 MPa (15,000 psi) chokes for flowback.
  9. Bullnose nozzle configuration reduces wear on the tubular.
  10. Utilizes accurate measurement procedures to determine the precise landing position of the sealing assembly.
  11. Three-port and five-port connections are available for high rate jobs on request.

Valves:
Stinger tubing savers are equipped with split gate valves. The top valve is operated hydraulically by remote control with an accumulator system, which allows operation even without the truck mounted hydraulic system running. The Stinger designed valve control is safety protected against closing should the hydraulics be rendered inoperable. The bottom valve is operated manually.

Power System
The tubing Saver mandrel is moved in and out of the well bore by means of hydraulic rams which, with our largest mandrel, are capable of overcoming up to 76 MPa (11,000 psi).

Mandrel  and Sealing Nipple System:
Stinger mandrels are fabricated from high-strength steels and are extremely resistant to erosion and corrosion from the fluids and abrasives that flow them. Extensions with stroke lengths of up to 135 inches are available. The Stinger nipple polyurethane seal compounds are compatible with all types of well servicing fluids.
